Former Wilsonville HS star to play basketball in Europe

PORTLAND, Ore. — Former Wilsonville High School basketball player Seth Gearhart will continue his career in Europe.

Gearhart led Wilsonville to three straight conference titles then went on to play at Rice University.

Wilsonville hoops star named second-team All-Conference USA

Gearhart is working out in Portland to get ready for his first professional season with Sam Basket Massangno of the Swiss League.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to play pro basketball, it’s pretty cool it’s happening now,” he said.

Former Portland Trail Blazer Channing Frye has been working out with Gearhart this summer offering encouragement and some help.

Gearhart leaves for Switzerland in August.
