MARION – Four area players and a coach were named this week to positions on the 2014-15 Associated Press All-Ohio girls basketball teams.
River Valley’s Kendall Stuckman was chosen as honorable mention in Division II. The Lady Viking junior averaged 14.8 points a game this season.
Natalie Herring and two of her players were honored in Div. III.
Herring was a co-coach of the year after leading North Union to a 27-2 record. Her squad won the Mid Ohio Athletic Conference Red Division and advanced to a regional-final game.
Herring has a record of 131-21 in six season at NU. Her Lady Cats won a district title for the third time during her tenure this season.
Senior Emily Clark was a second-team pick while classmate Taylor Hoffman made the honorable-mention squad.
Clark averaged 14.5 points a contest this winter while Hoffman hit for 11.8 points a game.
Cardington-Lincoln senior Kaitlyn Kavanaugh was picked for the honorable-mention team. She scored 11.5 points a game this season.
