Franklin Road Academy junior Kenny Cooper and Houston County’s Chase Clark both joined the 1,000-point club during victories Friday evening.
Cooper accomplished the feat with a 12-point effort in Friday’s 70-40 region win over University School of Nashville.
Cooper entered Friday’s matchup just two points shy of the milestone and his 12 points Friday night give him 1,010 points in his Panther career.
The junior points guard has had an impressive season averaging over 19 points a game and leading his team to a 13-3 record.
Cooper has offers from Ohio Valley Conference teams Austin Peay and Lipscomb.
Clark scored 11 points, including a 3-pointer, in 55-47, District 10-A win over McEwen.
