Gilbert 77, CMB (Baxter) 63

Jack Hoiberg and Ryan Blum scored 18 points each for Gilbert, and the Tigers hit 10 3-pointers as a team. Bryce Kemp led Collins-Maxwell-Baxter with 19 points.

Carroll 85, Winterset 45

Carroll was led by Kolby Molinsky, who had 23 points and made six 3-pointers. The Tigers as a team hit 17 3-pointers. Grant Williams had 16 points and three 3-pointers for Winterset in the loss.

Nevada 81, Colfax-Mingo 56

The Cubs trailed by three points at the half, but outscored the Tigerhawks 31-12 in the third quarter to get the win. Cole Gidel led all scorers with 29 points, five assists and five steals. Zach Hanson added 16 and AJ Strottman chipped in 14 points. Colin Lourens led winless Colfax-Mingo with 18 points.

South Hamilton 43, Saydel 40

Andy Cook scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds for South Hamilton. Saydel Senior Zach McBride scored 11 points with a steal.

Earlham 61, Interstate 35 (Truro) 46

The Schmidt brothers were lethal from 3-point range, leading the eighth-ranked Cardinals (19-2) to the win at home. Alan Schmidt hit three from beyond the arc and scored 15 points. Dan Schmidt drained two from 3-point range en route to eight points on the night. A.J. Leporte added nine points, and Zach Schreck grabbed 11 rebounds for Earlham. Jaylan White and Zach Goering each scored 15 points to lead the Roadrunners.

Ballard (Huxley) 53, Carlisle 51

Jaden Moody made the game winning basket at the buzzer. Sophomore Max Stoltz led with 14 total points

PCM (Monroe) 66, Greene County 39

PCM (Monroe) clinched at least a share of the Heart of Iowa Conference title, as Luke Greiner had a game-high 25 points. Greene County was led by freshman Wade Adcock with 14 points.

GIRLS

Ballard (Huxley) 41, Carlisle 38

Emily Knittel scored 23 points with three steals for Ballard. Gabie Doud grabbed 14 rebounds and made three blocks with the Bombers.

Grinnell 64, Knoxville 61

Freshman Sienna Durr scored 18 points, beat a school record with 14 blocked shots, and grabbed 13 rebounds. Deja Jackson scored 14 points with nine rebounds and seven assists for Grinnell.

Norwalk, 48, Newton 37

Shae Campbell and Tori VanVelzen led the way for the Warriors with 12 and 11 points respectively. Ryanne Rausch and Hannah Rhoads each chipped in 11 points for the Cardinals.
