Frisco Reedy names Chad Cole as first football coach

The fast-growing Frisco ISD named Chad Cole as the head coach for it’s eighth high school according to Frisco ISD athletic director David Kuykendall. Cole has been offensive coordinator at Wakeland. Coles is a Tarleton State grad who was inducted into the TSU Hall of Fame in 2010 and has been an assistant at Wakeland the last nine years. Cole played at Pilot Point.

Reedy which opens its campus in August. Reedy is expected to join the UIL varsity football in the next realignment for the 2016-17 season. Cole

The new school is named after Dr. Rick Reedy, who had a 16-year tenure as Frisco ISD superintendent. Dr. Reedy oversaw much of the planning for growth in Frisco. His son Ross Reedy is girls basketball coach at Liberty, which is the No. 1-ranked North Texas team by @hswfaa. Wakeland is named after Reedy’s predecessor as superintendent Justin Wakeland.
