Jeffersonville (5-4) at New Albany (4-5)

Kickoff: 7 p.m.

The two teams combined to score 95 points in the final week of the regular season.

The Red Devils won the regular-season game 25-13 at Buerk Field on Oct. 2. Isaiah Blanton’s kickoff return and Jordan Barnett’s 81-yard run for touchdowns were the keys for the Red Devils, who only possessed the ball for 14:08 during the game in the rain.

The rivals have played 8 times in the postseason, and Jeffersonville has won five times, the last a 62-35 decision in 2012. The winner will face either No.1 Center Grove (9-0) or Columbus North (6-3) in the final.

Sagarin ratings: New Albany 54.63; Jeffersonville 61.97

“The bottom line is defense really wins games. The team that buckles down on defense will be the one that wins this game..” – Jeffersonville coach Alfonzo Browning

“The rain hurt us, not only throwing the ball but on special teams. You don’t want to make that an excuse, because it was the same for both teams.” – New Albany coach Sean Coultis
