Athletic achievement: He averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 54 percent from inside the arc this past season, leading the Panthers (22-2) to the state final. A two-time First Team All-Conference selection, he also posted regular-season averages of four assists, three steals and three blocks per contest.
Academic excellence: Mallory has maintained a 92.7 average.
Exemplary character: He has volunteered locally on behalf of Habitat for Humanity, the Special Olympics and as a mentor for children with special needs.

“I’ve watched DeVaughn Mallory for four years and you can certainly see how he has progressed as a player and person,” said Steve Perry, head coach at Sussex Tech High. “He shows leadership on the court and off the court and his ability as a player on the court has helped Polytech become one of the most successful programs in our state and conference.”
THE FUTURE: Mallory remains undecided upon a collegiate destination.
