Athletic achievement: He led the Lions to a 25-4 record and a third consecutive Class 6A state championship this past season. In the 67-58, title-clinching victory against Jesuit, Pritchard finished with 29 points, seven rebounds, six steals and three assists, capturing First Team All-Tournament honors. The 2014 Class 6A Player of the Year as named by The Oregonian, Pritchard averaged 22.0 points, 5.8 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game. Also the returning Three Rivers League Player of the Year, he shot 47.1 percent from the field, 42.7 percent from 3-point range and 82.5 percent from the free-throw line.
Academic excellence: Pritchard has maintained a 3.61 weighted GPA.
Exemplary character: In addition to donating his time as a youth basketball instructor, he has also participated in an exchange program each of the past two summers, mentoring players from Lugo, Spain, in an English-immersion and basketball skills clinic.
“He is dominant on the court, but is a true point guard who gets his teammates involved,” said Mark Brown, head coach of rival Newberg High. “He is a very unselfish player who does not look to get his shots up, but looks for the best option on the court.”
THE FUTURE: Pritchard has verbally committed to Oklahoma.
