GHSA passes 'Wheeler Rule'

The Georgia High School Association passed the so-called “Wheeler Rule” on Monday. It allows state champions from Georgia to play in national championships, pending approval from the high school sports association.

Last month, the organization refused to let Wheeler play in the Dick’s National Tournament in New York after the Wildcats won the state championship.

After a petition and a threat of legal action, the GHSA said they could play and they’d review their policy.
