Julia Quinn’s layup with six seconds remaining lifted the Highland High School girls basketball team to a 33-32 Mid-Hudson Athletic League win over visiting Red Hook on Tuesday.
Allie Rozzi scored 13 points and Brianna Rozzi added eight to pace the Huskies (5-3).
Jess Wilkinson led Red Hook with 16 points.
Our Lady of Lourdes 79, Roy C. Ketcham 32 — Emily Ferreri and Rebecca Townes had 16 points apiece for the host Warriors. Maddy Siegrist added 10 points.
“Ketcham was a little undermanned,” said Lourdes coach Al Viani. “It was a solid effort from our whole squad.”
Katie Wall scored 13 points for the Indians, who play at Mahopac Jan. 21.
Lourdes (8-1) plays at Arlington Thursday.
Pine Plains 58, John A. Coleman Catholic 34 — Ashley Starzyk had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the host Bombers.
“We had a good team effort and contributions from many, especially hustle plays that don’t show up in stats,” Pine Plains coach Les Funk said in a statement.
The Bombers (4-3) host Rhinebeck on Wednesday.
John Jay 47, Carmel 33 — Sam Fitzgerald and Marion Dietz each scored 16 points to lead the Patriots, who host Mahopac Thursday.
John Jay coach Larry Brooks praised Jaimie Harney’s defense, helping John Jay improve to 5-6.
Marlboro 72, Rondout Valley 30 — Kate Fabrizio and Julia Rusk finished with 12 and 11 points, respectively, to lead host Marlboro in the MHAL game.
Kayla Garitta and Taylor Felicello added eight points apiece for the Iron Dukes (5-1).
Taylor Fisher led Rondout Valley with 18 points.
Franklin D. Roosevelt 48, Poughkeepsie 19 — Allison Pritchard and Madison Lee contributed 12 and 11 points, respectively, for host Roosevelt in the MHAL game.
Darien Demelis added five blocks and nine rebounds for the Presidents (5-2), who also received seven points and seven assists from Ashley Merritt.
Roosevelt hosts Wallkill on Friday.
Callia Cropp scored eight points for Poughkeepsie.
Millbrook 58, Dover 11 – Mackenzie Harkenrider led the Blazers with 15 points. Olivia Malles contributed with 10.
Lauren Matlak had six points for the visiting Dragons.
Millbrook (5-1) plays at Rhinebeck Friday, while Dover will host Rondout Valley Wednesday.
Saugerties 57, New Paltz 45 — At New Paltz, McKenzie Osborne had 13 points for the Huguenots.
New Paltz (3-4) will play Red Hook on Friday.
Mahopac 63, Arlington 60 — Shannon Doyle had a game-high 21 points, but the visiting Admirals lost.
