Three different players reached double figures for Seaholm in a 65-17 OAA girls basketball crossover victory over Pontiac on Tuesday.
Sophomore Dana Hoerman led the Maples with 19 points and eight rebounds. Freshman Molly Stutelberg, playing her last game with Seaholm as her family is moving to Chicago, finished with 15 points and eight rebounds.
Sophomore guard Mackenzie Harbort also had a strong game with 14 points and five rebounds for Seaholm (3-3).
Pontiac’s leading scorer was Jaszmine Blue with 10 points.
MARIAN 61, REGINA 35: Marian exploded to a 26-4 lead after one quarter and went on to this easy Catholic League victory over Warren Regina on Tuesday.
Senior forward Brittany Gray led the Mustangs with 14 points in limited action. Sophomore guard Samantha Thomas also reached double figures with 11 points. Senior guard Kara Holinski was next with nine points.
Nine different players scored for the undefeated (7-0) and No. 1-ranked Mustangs.
Regina’s leading scorer was Teresa Diehl with a game-high 16 points.
Marian hosts arch rival Mercy in a Catholic League game set for 6 p.m. Friday at Marian. In their last meeting in Birmingham, the Mustangs held on for an overtime win over the Marlins.
Marian hasn’t lost on its homecourt since 2013 when it fell in the Operation Friendship Game to Detroit Martin Luther King by three points.
ROEPER 39, PLYMOUTH CHRISTIAN 19: Birmingham Roeper won all four quarters of its MIAC game Tuesday evening against Plymouth Christian.
The Roughriders were up 4-2 after the opening quarter and 17-4 at halftime. Roeper enjoyed a 22-15 second-half scoring advantage.
Akwia Tilton, a junior guard, led all scorers with 18 points, including seven baskets and a 4-6 performance from the free-throw line. Senior guard Sophomore Savas finished with 11 points.
Alexis Johnson (four), Naomi Savas (two), Joann Ogundipe (two) and Kamaria Wilson (two) were the other Roeper scorers.
Robin Albert was Plymouth’s lone double-figure scorer with 10 points.
