The Arlington High School girls lacrosse team is going into a stretch next week in which it will play four games in six days.
And the Admirals are going into that stretch on a winning note.
On Friday, Arlington beat host Putnam Valley, 15-9.
“With the big week coming up, it was nice to get us ready,” Admirals coach Dan Schmitt said. “It was exciting. Our offense was looking good. We played unselfish — a lot of people got involved.”
Abby Carlin, Taylor Nyberg and Lizzie Schlissel helped propel the offense. Carlin scored four goals while Nyberg and Schlissel each scored three goals. Nyberg also contributed with an assist.
Jenny Caoili (two goals, three assists), Rosie DeBellis (one goal) and Danielle DiLorenzo (two goals) finished off the offensive surge.
In front of the cage, Maryn Lowell stopped seven of Putnam Valley’s shots.
The Admirals (3-2) begin their stretch of four games in six days on Monday at 4:30 p.m. against Clarkstown South at home. They will then play Tuesday at Carmel, Thursday at home against Mahopac and Saturday, April 18 at home against Section 9’s Monroe-Woodbury.
