Girls’ Soccer: Draft roars past Stonewall

Stuarts Draft overcame a slow start, scoring all of its goals in the second half on the way to a 4-1 win over Stonewall Jackson in girls’ soccer action Thursday.

The Cougars (3-0) were stuck in low gear after the opening whistle, trailing 1-0 at the half. But they found their game after the break, scoring four goals and not allowing the Generals another shot-on-goal.

Jillian Lewis, Rachel Sauder, Makenzie Gray and Claire Bryant were the goal-scorers for Draft, while keeper Raya Custard made five saves.

The Cougars’ next game is Tuesday at home against Buffalo Gap.
