FIVE GAMES TO ATTEND THIS SEASON
Sep. 14, Colts Neck at Wall: It is a rematch of the 2014 Shore Conference Tournament final, which Wall won 1-0. Because Wall and Colts Neck are both in the Class B North division, this is the first of two regular season meetings. The regular season rematch is on Sep. 30 at Colts Neck.
Sep. 18: Rumson-Fair Haven at Holmdel: The Class A Central division will more than likely come down to how the Bulldogs and the Hornets play against each other. In 2014, Holmdel won the first meeting, 1-0, and Rumson-Fair Haven won the rematch, 2-1. This Sep. 18 game is the first of two regular season meetings with the rematch on Oct. 8 at Rumson-Fair Haven.
Sep. 25, Freehold Township at Freehold: It is a big rivalry when the Patriots and the Colonials meet and both teams are aiming for the Class A North title this season. In 2014, Freehold beat Freehold Township, 3-2, and the teams tied 2-2. Expect a playoff-like atmosphere for the first of their two regular season meetings, the rematch is Oct. 14 at Freehold Township.
Oct. 6, Red Bank Catholic at Colts Neck: This is the second meeting between the Class B North teams as each squad wants to keep itself in the running for a high seed for the Shore Conference Tournament. Last year, Colts Neck won both regular season games, 1-0.
Oct. 12, Shore at Holmdel: Both squads played in state finals last season, Group I and Group II, respectively, and both squads are projected to be contenders again in 2015. This non-divisional game will factor heavily in the Shore Conference Tournament seeds.
