COLCHESTER – Kelsey Cauchon and Greetje Scheller fired in two goals apiece as host Colchester blanked Brattleboro 4-0 in the Division I girls soccer playdowns on Tuesday.
Jenna Baillargeon handed out two saves while Danielle Whitham and Gabby Gosselin combined to make two saves for the Lakers (15-0), who led 2-0 at the break.
Brattleboro’s Asia Desmarais totaled 15 saves.
•(7) Middlebury 2, (10) Rice 0: Second-half goals from Kess Moulton and Kelsey Smith propelled host Middlebury past Rice.
Moulton broke the tie scoring off of a corner kick in the 53rd minute. Then with just over 10 minutes left to play, Isabel Rosenberg crossed to Smith, who one-timed it into the net for the Tigers’ (9-5-1) second score.
Molly Campbell had five saves for Middlebury, and Hannah Miller had eight saves for Rice (7-8).
•(1) Burr and Burton 9, (16) Missisquoi 0: Aggie Bisselle and Georgia Lord each tallied twice as host Burr and Burton improved to 15-0 with a rout of Missisquoi.
Maggie Sullivan, Bella Dworkin, Shayla Heekin, Jessie Forstmann and Emily Bleakie all added single tallies for the Bulldogs.
The Thunderbirds finish the season 0-13-1.
D-II GIRLS SOCCER
•(11) Green Mountain Valley 2, (6) Woodstock 1: Katie Orr scored a second half breakaway goal to help Green Mountain Valley spring the upset at Woodstock.
Claire Saunders got the Wasps on the board in the 19th minute, but the Gumbies (5-5) knotted things up before halftime on a score by Edith Doemland.
GMVS’s Izzy Nolan had 11 saves as did Kaila Lemma for Woodstock (8-6-1).
•(5) Mount Abraham 3, (12) Vergennes 0: Lydia Pitts had two second-half goals to power Mount Abraham over Vergennes.
Ernesta McIntosh opened the scoring at the 22-minute mark of the first half before Pitts scored off an assist from Zoe Cassels-Brown at the 19:13 mark. Pitts notched her second off a feed from Lauren Gibson less than four minutes later.
Kamille Snelle had three saves for Mount Abraham (9-6). Anya Sonwaldt had six saves for Vergennes (4-10-1).
•U-32 3, (16) Randolph 0: After a scoreless first half, Maggie Kirby and Aine Kennedy struck in first four minutes of the second half and host U-32 pulled away from Randolph.
Kennedy added a second tally later in the half and Natalie Lavigne worked a two-save shutout for the Raiders (13-2).
Randolph’s Kiara Nonemacher corralled 20 shots.

•(3) Montpelier 5, (14) Lamoille 0: Cricket Basa scored host Montpelier’s first four goals –– scoring twice in each half –– to fuel her team’s shutout win over Lamoille.
Maralina Moore netted the fifth Solons (11-3-1) goal. Chloe Schiff dished out three assists and Mikayle Flynn added another. Allison Chadwick (five saves) earned her seventh clean sheet of the season.
The Lancers finish 3-11-1.
•(4) Harwood 7, (13) Lyndon 0: Sarah Brodeur pumped in five goals as host Harwood stormed past Lyndon.
Jackie Moreno and Brynne Quirion also scored for the Highlanders (11-4).
•(7) Mill River 4, (10) Stratton 1: Olivia McPhee’s hat trick included a pair of headers as she helped host Mill River topple Stratton.
The Minutemen (10-5) also got a goal from Britney Blanchard. Stratton finishes the season 5-5-1.
D-III GIRLS SOCCER
•(1) BFA-Fairfax 2, (16) Twin Valley 0: Macy McNall and Chloe White each scored goals to lift the host Bullets past the Wildcats.
McNall scored 10 minutes into the game on an assist from Mikayla Sullivan, and then White put BFA-Fairfax up two early in the second half on an unassisted strike.
Bri Mossey had three saves for Fairfax (11-2-2). Brianna Rafus has seven saves for Twin Valley (4-11).
•(8) Otter Valley 2, (9) Williamstown 1 (OT): Amy Jones volleyed in the game-winner for host Otter Valley as it knocked off Williamstown in overtime for the program’s first playoff win.
Elizabeth Laughlin equalized for the Blue Devils (9-5-1) with just 35 seconds left in regulation.
Olivia Drew gave the Otters (10-5) the first-half advantage, converting a feed from Jones in the 31st minute.
•(4) Oxbow 4, (13) Hazen 1: Freshman Zoe Barton scored twice and host Oxbow knocked off Hazen.
Rosie Fraser and Corrina Oakley each had a goal and an assist for the Olympians. Jessica Daigle made two saves.
D-IV GIRLS SOCCER
•(6) Whitchester 1, (11) South Royalton 0: Phoebe Parrish struck in the 16th minute to lift host Whitchester (9-6) to a win over South Royalton.
Brianna Hillier assisted the winning goal and Shannon Ludwig finished with five saves for the shutout.
Lexy Madore turned away 26 shots for the Royals (4-11)
•(5) Craftsbury 1, (12) Blue Mountain 0: Lynn Brown got on the end of a free kick to knock in the game’s only goal with 14 minutes left to lift host Craftsbury past Blue Mountain.
Amy DeLaBruere assisted the winner and Paige Coolbeth finished with five saves for the Chargers (10-4-1) in the shutout.
Paige Perkins stacked up 20 saves for the Bucks (3-12).
•(4) Mount St. Joseph 13, (13) Cabot 0: Jenna Eaton (assist) pumped in four goals and Bryn McClallen added a hat trick as host MSJ stormed past Cabot.
Charlotte Hudson (two goals), Claire Diionno (goal, two assists), Erin McClallen, Monica Schmelzenbach (goal, assist) and Izzy Harvey also scored for the Mounties (10-4-1). Schmelzenbach also had two saves, splitting the shutout honors with Shannon Elms.
Alisha Celley stacked up 21 saves for Cabot (1-11).
•(3) West Rutland 3, (14) Black River 1: Brooke Raiche scored twice and Shelby Grabowski added a goal as host West Rutlandgot past Black River. Goalkeeper
Kayla Coombs made six saves for the 13-2 Golden Horde.
Black River’s goal was scored by Alice Faenza and Morgan Collins had 12 saves for the Presidents (1-14).
•(10) Long Trail 1, (7) Danville 0: Courteney McGowan scored 3 minutes, 32 seconds into the game and visiting Long Trail held on to upset Danville.
The Lynx advance with a 4-9-2 record. Danville finishes the year 5-10.
•(8) Arlington 4, (9) Chelsea 1: Aimee Frank and Hailey Mattison each struck twice to power host Arlington’s victory over Chelsea.
Whitney Walsh earned the win for the Eagles (6-7-1). Chelsea finishes 6-9.
