Why chosen: Henry finished her season 11-0 and claimed the Class AAA singles title.

Quote: “I honestly didn’t even really think about it. I was just going to try to play my best and see how it turned out. I could tell my brothers were nervous for me, and it was good to make my family happy.”

Athletic background: “I played basketball, softball and soccer before I started playing tennis at age 9. At age 12 I started to focus only on tennis.”

Favorite high school moment: “Winning state this year.”

Favorite athlete: Roger Federer.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? “In 10 years I would like to be a lawyer or a college tennis coach.”

What do you think of Ravenwood’s Steven Karl? “I think Steven is an amazing tennis player and a great competitor.”

Summer plans: “My summer plans are to play tennis daily and hangout at the pool with my friends. I am going on a family vacation to the beach and playing in national tournaments in San Diego and Virginia.”

College plans: “I would like to play at a Division I college.”

Family: Dad Tracy and mom Becky, brothers Brett (26), Peyton (24), Blake (20) and sister Caroline (12).

Favorite food: Chocolate chip cookies and watermelon.
