Goaltender Gabby Goree came on in the second half to make nine saves Monday as Northville kept its unbeaten streak going in girls lacrosse with a 15-12 victory at home over Plymouth.
Sarah Chase, Audrey Tatge and Emma Dietrich each tallied a hat trick for the Mustangs, who improved to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in the KLAA’s Kensington Conference.
Other offensive producers for Northville included Ally Blough and Liz Hansell, one goal and one assist each; Erin Scott, two goals; and Grace Guibord, one goal. Chase also added an assist.
Maddie Caffee started in goal and made two saves as Northville led 12-7 before giving way to Goree.
“We played composed and won against a good team,” Northville first-year coach Amanda Asher said. “I’m proud of the girls. Gabby (Goree) was our MVP.”
Sabrina Schiftar tallied three goals for Plymouth (3-2, 0-2).
NOVI 17, FARMINGTON UNIFIED 8: On Monday, Gina Salemi scored four goals, while Alanna Clark and Willow Guenther added three apiece as the Wildcats (5-0) earned a make-up victory against host Farmington Unified (2-4).
Morgan Statetzny, Katie McMaster and Rachel Bayer conttributed two goals apiece, while Jenny Mikkelsen added one for the victorious Wildcats, who led 8-6 at halftime.
Goalie Mariah Smythe played the first three periods making seven saves, while Sydney Davis finished up with three stops.
