Highlights from Green Mountain vs Ponderosa playoff baseball 5/21/15
KUSA — The No. 5 Green Mountain Rams scored five runs in the top of the 3rd to go up 5-0 over the No. 3 Ponderosa Mustangs; and those five runs were enough to advance in the 4A state baseball playoffs.
Ponderosa got one run in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 5-1 and later replacing Bryan King with Nate Whalen on the hill for Ponderosa. Green Mountain still led 5-1 entering the bottom of the 6th.
Ponderosa pulled within one run however, the Rams prevailed with a 5-4 win in the semifinal game. Green Mountain will play the No. 4 D’Evelyn Jaguars in the semifinals.
