KUSA – The Green Mountain Rams are in pursuit to repeat as 4A state champions as they topped the D’Evelyn Jaguars 2-1 on Tuesday to advance to the title game.  The Rams are undefeated and just need one more win to take home the championship.

The game was tied 1-1 heading into the bottom of the 7th inning with two on, two out for the Rams.  Jaguars’ pitcher Grant Witherspoon came in to try and force the game into extra innings, but Roy Anderson scored the winning run off of a wild pitch to keep the Rams’ perfect postseason record alive.

Green Mountain will play the Lewis-Palmer Rangers on Wednesday at 1pm at Metro State University for the 4A state title.  According to CHSAA, this is Lewis-Palmer’s first appearance in the state championship in program history.
