Harding scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat North Union 3-2 Friday in Mid Ohio Athletic Conference baseball.

The Presidents trailed 1-0 in the second inning before scoring twice in the home half of that inning to take a 2-1 lead.

North Union tied the game with a run in the third inning.

Max Mitchell, Roger Hamon and Austin Riegel each had a hit for Harding, with Riegel knocking in one run. Mitchell’s hit was a double.

Hamon hurled the distance for the mound decision. He did not give up an earned run, and he struck out two and walked only one.

Harding was helped along by six stolen bases.

Kole Justin smacked three hits, including a double, and plated a run for the Wildcats. Drew Willis and Roger Payne both had two hits for North Union while Jake Blevins and Matt Skeins each added a hit. Sheldon Collum had an RBI on a sacrifice fly.

Blevins was the losing pitcher in relief of Riley Hughes and Jake Cahill. North Union pitchers did not allow an earned run.

Softball

Pleasant 7, Buckeye Valley 2

Brook Flickinger clubbed a three-run homer in the second inning to get Pleasant off to a 7-2 MOAC win over Buckeye Valley.

Catie Pelfrey added two RBIs on a pair of hits for the Lady Spartans while Georgie Stacy hit two doubles and knocked in a run. Ashley Stone added two hits for Pleasant (2-2).

Stacy was the winning pitcher, striking out seven. She allowed Buckeye Valley (3-1) only one hit.

Ridgedale 10, Crestline 6

Ridgedale pushed across four runs in the sixth inning to take a 10-6 Northern 10 Conference victory over Crestline.

Ridgedale had scored four times in the fifth inning to rally to a 6-5 lead. Crestline tied the game with a run in the home fifth.

Carli Swisher smacked three hits to lead the Lady Rockets at the plate and she had one RBI.

Hannah Ferguson and Brooke Bullock each knocked in three runs with two hits while Megan Mulvaine had a hit and two RBIs for Ridgedale. Caitlyn Lust and Madison O’Brien each had one hit.

Brooke Wollett was the winning pitcher in relief of Ferguson.

Carlee Jackson led Crestlinre with two hits and two RBIs. Lydia Tadda doubled for the Lady Bulldogs while Madison Huber, Ellen Dailey, Sam Wilhite, and Kayla Gregory each poked a hit. Wilhite added an RBI.

Tennis

River Valley 4, Galion 1

River Valley grabbed a 4-1 decision over Galion.

In singles, Luke Hundley of RV beat Lucas Connor 6-1, 6-1; Manny Acuna triumphed over Tristan Baldy 6-3, 6-1; and Jarod Tuttle lost 0-6, 6-2, 4-6 to Alex Barker.

RV’s Lance DeLong and Jon Culler won 6-1, 6-0 over Galion’s Tannoer Amos and Evan Zumbro in doubles while Jordyn Jackson and Thomas Starrs beat Alex Tilley and Lucas Fisnaude 6-1, 6-1.
