Hunter Rodrigues of Whitney (Rocklin, Calif.) threw seven touchdowns in a game for the second time this season, but he only needed the first half this time.
Rodrigues’ night was done at halftime with 272 yards passing and those seven TDs, four to Devin Brochini and three to Justin Kraft, according to the Sacramento Bee.
Whitney won the game against Bella Vista (Fair Oaks), 76-14.
In the season opener, he threw seven touchdowns — and ran for another — in a 57-55 loss to Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills). A week later, he accounted for seven scores — six passing and one rushing — in a 56-14 victory against Enterprise-Redding (Rocklin).
