Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant was in the Los Angeles area for his Nike KD8 shoe release party Tuesday and made a stop at the annual Nike Fairfax Summer Classic.
Word began spreading, including on the Twitter feed of the tournament on Monday, but they were described as “rumors.” But there was Durant, who posed for photos and took in some of the action. Metta World Peace also was at the tournament and he and Durant spent time under one of the baskets chatting. Other NBA players and former LA high school stars have stopped by to watch games at the summer classic, which continues Wednesday.
Durant got the chance to talk to some of the players, including the talented son of Shaquille O’Neal who is a 6-8 prospect from the Windward School in Los Angeles.
