Joey Choquette by the numbers
On the year, Salisbury Christian junior guard Joey Choquette has averaged 22.5 points per game as the Jaguars clinched the Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference regular season title for the second consecutive year.
What’s even more interesting is that Choquette has had five games in which he has scored 30 or more points, with two of those performances being 40-point efforts.
And of even bigger note is that against ESIAC opponents, his scoring average is nearly six points higher at 28.0 a game.
Still plenty at stake
While many teams are playing for pride and to get momentum heading into playoffs on the Maryland side, the Henlopen South is still up for grabs as rivals Laurel and Delmar are each 11/2 games behind division-leading Milford. Both teams have a chance to pull even, as the Wildcats have one final game remaining against the Buccaneers set for Saturday, while also playing the Bulldogs again as well. In addition to Delmar, Laurel will round its schedule out with Lake Forest on the road and Delmarva Christian at home.
