Marion Harding 3, Buckeye Valley 0

Harding beat Buckeye Valley in three sets (25-15, 25-21, 25-18) on Thursday. Chloe Richardson had 12 kills and three aces; Taylor McIntire had eight kills and 10 blocks, Regan Endsley had 21 assists and Faith McGinn had a season-high 17 digs.

Northmor 3, Cardington 0

Cardington lost 21-25, 15-25, 20-25 in Mid Ohio Athletic Conference Blue Division play Thursday. Samantha Brininger led the Pirates with eight kills, Rylie Partlow had 22 digs and Marissa Hall had 15 assists.

The Knights were led by Mikayal Briggs with eight kills and two blocks, Karlee Carroll with 22 digs, Lindsey Wiseman 18 digs, and Jordyn Zoll with 23 assists and two aces.

Highland 3, Elgin 0

Highland (14-0, 8-0 MOAC) defeated Elgin (25-19, 25-10, 25-6) in conference action on Thursday. Ashton Terrill had 11 kills and five aces, Bridget Order had 17 digs and four aces, Sierra Mailey had six kills and Taylor Belcher had 10 assists for Highland.

Meridith Cocherl paced Elgin with six kills, Brianna Appelfeller slugged five kills, Kadi Vermillion had seven assists, and Tailor Wolf and Josi Wolf each notched two blocks.

Highland’s JVs (11-0) won 25-7, 20-25. Madison Utley secured three aces and two kills for Elgin, Kierstin Rentschler had six assisrts and two kills, and Kierstin King smacked two kills.

Highland’s freshmen (7-0) won 25-3, 25-16. Aubree Spicer served two aces for Elgin.

Wynford 3, Ridgedale 0

Ridgedale lost to Wynford (17-25, 13-25, 12-25) on Thursday. Hannah Slane had 15 digs, Rachel Pahl had four kills, Courtney Park smacked three kills, Laney Davis had six assists, Megan Mulvaine had six kills, and Taylor Boyd had eight assists for Ridgedale.

Centerburg 3, Mount Gilead 0

Centerburg topped Mount Gilead (25-18, 25-9, 25-14) in the MOAC.

Renee Lemke had 21 assists, five aces, 19 points and five digs for Centerburg. Alaina Wright totaled three aces, 10 points, six kills and five digs while Skylar LeMaster served two aces and had five points, two kills and 11 digs.

GOLF

River Valley 149, Pleasant 155

Medalist Caden Orewiler shot a 33 for River Valley (12-1 MOAC) while teammates Austin Woodruff (36), Jarrett Reichard (39) and Corey Niese (41) also scored. River Valley is the MOAC league champions.

Jed Charpie led Pleasant (11-3 MOAC) with a score of 35, followed by Max McCloy (38), Jason Joehlin (41) and Griffin McCloy (41).

TENNIS

Harding 5, River Valley 0

Harding beat River Valley Thursday with four matches going only two sets.

The lone exception was a 7-6, 3-6, 6-4 win for Ashley Lindsey and Alyssa Moodley over Leah DeVore and Allison Edwards. Madison Randolph and Allison Russell won the other doubles match 6-0, 6-0 over Shay Call and Paayal Vora.

In singles, Fallyn Stephens downed Izzy Smith 6-2, 6-2; Ashley Russell topped Taylor Hawk 6-2, 6-2; and Maggie Pitts defeated Julie Lackey 6-4, 6-4.
