Houston County’s boys soccer team is preparing for another state title game run.
The Bears are unbeaten at 16-0-1, and ranked nationally. They are also looking to make a return trip to championship game for the third year in a row. Houston County is fresh off a sudden-death region championship win over Greenbrier. Now, the Bears are putting the regular season behind, and focusing on what lies ahead.
“We know what we have to do,” said scoring leader Steven Moore. “We’ve done it. Everyone just has to do their jobs. Bench players, starters, all have to know their role. As long as everyone does their job, we’ll get back to [the state championship at] Mercer.”
Houston County hosts Northside-Columbus Wednesday night at 6 o’clock.
