Holy Child's Elizabeth Curcio breaks program hits record

By

Holy Child senior Elizabeth Curcio became the program’s all-time hits leader this weekend, tallying her 112th career hit on Saturday to pass current Bowling Green senior Chloe Giordano.

Curcio, who will play for Swathmore next season, has helped Holy Child to back-to-back wins over Masters and Greenwich Academy, respectively, to open its season. The Gryphons (2-0) are tied with Rye Country Day and King for first place in the Fairchester Athletic Association, outscoring opponents 33-4.

Holy Child plays an eight-game regular-season schedule, which will conclude on May 7, barring any rainouts.
