The MHSAA.TV’s Hoops on Film series featuring games from the late 1940s to mid 1970s will include a pair of contests involving mid-Michigan schools.

DeWitt’s victory over Carrollton in the Class C girls state final and Sexton’s overtime win over Hamtramack in the 1959 Class A boys final will be shown on the network the next two weeks.

The DeWitt contest is the featured game this week. Kelly Robinson had 21 points and 15 rebounds in that 51-36 victory over Carrollton.

Next week’s featured game is Sexton’s overtime win that has become known as “The Shot.” Bob Davis’ heave in overtime capped a come from behind 80-79 win for Sexton.
