Edrice “Bam” Adebayo will transfer to High Point Christian in High Point, N.C., for his senior year.
The 6-9 rising senior had been playing for Northside in Pinetown, N.C., and has offers from Kentucky, Louisville, NC State, North Carolina and many others.
Adebayo is ranked as the No. 4 power forward in the nation and No. 14 player overall in the Class of 2016, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
He wrote on Twitter: “Last 3 years at Northside have been the best and I appreciate everybody that supported me but I will be attending High Point Christian Academy. I will never forget all the memories I had there. I wish you all the best in the upcoming season.”
His new coach then confirmed:
Adebayo was quietly one of the most dominant players in the country last season, averaging 32.2 points and 21 rebounds per game and is just 106 points from the 2,000-point mark for his career.
In June, Adebayo led a balanced U.S. Select team in scoring, averaging 11.3 points per game. The team finished 3-0 at the 2015 adidas EuroCamp in Treviso, Italy.
He continued that dominant run during the AAU season with Team Loaded (N.C.). Adeybayo averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds a game on the super-competitive adidas Gauntlet.
