H.S. Baseball: Bison overpower Leemen

Buffalo Gap jumped to an 8-0 lead Wednesday and went on to defeat Robert E. Lee 10-3 in baseball action at John Moxie Memorial Stadium.

The Bison used a five-run fourth inning as the key to their early lead.

All told, Buffalo Gap had 12 hits in the contest to five for Lee. For the Bison, Holden Sandridge led the way with three hits while Austin Comer and Wyatt Lotts had two apiece.

Lotts ended with four RBI while Comer drove in two runs.

Brendon Witherspoon had a pair of RBI for Lee.

Ian Robbie picked up the win. In his five innings of pitching, he fanned seven batters.

Buffalo Gap (3-7) travels on Friday to Wilson while Lee (2-7) is at Harrisonburg.
