STAUNTON – Robert E. Lee’s boys’ soccer team jumped to a 3-1 first half lead Wednesday night and went on to defeat Buffalo Gap 4-1.
The Leemen had a pair of first half goals by Hunter Otteni and one by Alex Lightner.
For the Bison, David Moore scored Gap’s lone goal.
Lee’s final score in the second half was by Hunter Purcell. The Leemen also got an assist from Moses Farley.
Lee had 14 shots on goal. Keeper Andrew Guertler had five saves.
Lee (3-2-1) travels on Friday to Harrisonburg. Gap (3-5) is at Wilson on the same day.
