Josh Davis scored five goals and four assists to lead Johnson City to an 18-12 boys lacrosse victory over Seton Catholic Central on Tuesday afternoon.
The Wildcats’ offense was strong throughout the whole game. Shane Majewski and Alex Sprague-Getsy each scored four goals in the winning effort. Nikola Cejic earned the victory in net, recording 19 saves.
Johnson City will next play at Watkins Glen Thursday at 4 p.m.
Ithaca 10, Binghamton 8: At Binghamton, three straight third-quarter goals propeled Ithaca to victory. The Little Red pulled out to an 8-7 lead after the run and never relinquished for the remainder of the contest.
Elmira 13, Oneonta 3: At Elmira, Shea Maes scored four goals to lead the Express past Oneonta. Elmira led 6-2 after the first half and outshot Oneonta 21-9 for the game.
Maine-Endwell 22, Elmira Notre Dame 1: At Maine-Endwell, Justin Kopansky and Vincent Vultaggio combined for 13 goals to lead the Spartans to their second win this season. Kopansky recorded eight goals and six assists to lead M-E and Vultaggio netted five goals and four assists.
Tyler Thompson added four goals and two assists as the Spartans outshot Elmira Notre Dame 66-10 and won 17 of 28 faceoffs.
Chenango Forks 21, Watkins Glen 1: At Chenango Forks, the Blue Devils jumped to an 11-0 lead in the first quarter to cruise past Watkins Glen. Jack Sherwood had four goals and an assist while Bryant Lamere, Brad Wiley and Tim McDonald each recorded a hat trick. The Blue Devils outshot the Senecas 41-8 and controlled 17 of 26 faceoffs.
Vestal 17, Union Endicott 5: At Vestal, Jake Nelson and Choberka Held a game-high four goals apiece and three assists between them to lead the Golden Bears to victory.
Vestal 18, Horseheads 5: At Vestal, Tomasina Leska and Julia Lavaglia each put up a hat trick to lead the Golden Bears. Leska scored six goals and five assists and Lavaglia added two assists as the Golden Bears outshot the Blue Raiders 31-12.
