Hudson Valley earns silver medal at BCANY Hoops Fest

The boys basketball team from Hudson Valley earned a silver medal at this weekend’s BCANY Summer Hoops Festival, falling to Greece Athena star Anthony Lamb and Rochester in the gold-medal game on Sunday.

My colleague, Adrian Szkolar, wrote a recap of the tournament Sunday, which you can read here. Kennedy senior Elijah Hughes starred for Hudson Valley, scoring 42 points in a game and winning the slam dunk contest on Saturday. Saunders senior Derrick Felder took over Sunday morning, scoring 29 points to go with 10 rebounds and seven assists in a semifinal win over Buffalo.

Hudson Valley has now medaled all five years the event has been held, including two golds, two silvers and a bronze.
