HARTLAND – Megan Saari scored two goals to lead the Bay Area Ice Bears to a 5-0 win over Hartland Arrowhead in the Arrowhead Turkey Tournament on Saturday.
Jordyn Kadrlik tallied a goal and an assist in the win, while Mia Dunning added one goal and recorded two assists. Earlier in the day, the Ice Bears defeated the Lakeshore Lightning 1-0 to advance to the finals. Megan Call scored the lone goal with an assist from Dunning.
The Ice Bears outshot all three of their opponents in the tournament 145-21 with both goaltenders Ana Holzbach and Delaney Butterfield not allowing a goal.
Ashwaubenon 1, Sheboygan 1
Josh Gillis scored the lone Ashwaubenon goal in a tie game against the Sheboygan Red Raiders.
Evan Wied and Jacob LaVallie each recorded an assist on the goal. In net, Jonathan Destiche made 39 saves on 40 shots for the Jaguars, while Erik Johnson made 30 saves on 31 shots for the Red Raiders. Ashwaubenon went 0-for-5 on the power play, while Sheboygan was 0-for-1.
G.B. Notre Dame 4, Superior 0
EAU CLAIRE – Zach Krysiak made 16 saves, recording his first shutout the season for Notre Dame.
The Tritons (2-1) received goals from four different players as Jadon Motquin, Jack Wied, Skyler Palmer and JR Lesatz each had a tally.
Jett Jaraczewski, Bryce Poshak and Michael Karow each added two assists. The Tritons had a 37-16 edge in shots on goal.
