Icy storm freezes most sports on Delmarva

For the first time this season, mother nature has closed schools Wednesday, putting a freeze on most sports schedules.

Salisbury University will still play its men’s and women’s basketball games at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., but UMES closed its campus as did most high schools.

Here are the games canceled for Wednesday. An updated schedule will be posted throughout Wednesday.

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL

Worcester Prep at Salisbury School, 6:30 p.m.

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL

Salisbury Christian at Sts. Peter and Paul, 4 p.m.

Worcester Prep at Salisbury School, 5 p.m.

Crisfield at Snow Hill, 6:30 p.m.

HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING

St. Michaels at Snow Hill, 5 p.m.

North Dorchester at Parkisde, 5 p.m.

Stephen Decatur at Mardela, 5 p.m.

Milford at Delmar, 5:30 p.m.

Appoquinimink, Laurel at Lake Forest, 6 p.m.

Indian River at Seaford, 7 p.m.

HIGH SCHOOL INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD

Crisfield, James M. Bennett, Mardela, Parkside, Pocomoke, Snow Hill, Stephen Decatur, Washington, Wicomico at Snow Hill, 2 p.m.
