Chandler Basha senior Klay Stall, who will  miss his senior  basketball season  with a torn anterior-cruciate knee ligament, is at peace, knowing his college future  has  been secured.

The 6-foot-10 forward/center committed  to Utah State on Friday, a day after receiving a scholarship offer from the  Division I school.

Stall said  that Utah State spent most of July staying in contact with him and recruiting him hard.

He said he will go on his official recruiting trip to Logan, Utah, on Sept. 11-13.

s”It was a great fit for me and the family, and the coaching staff is amazing,” Stall said. “We can make a run in the Mountain West (Conference) and  NCAA Tournament.”

Stall showed big improvements in his overall game from his sophomore to junior season. Last  season, he  averaged 11.8 points and 11.3 rebounds on a 19-10 team.
