Isaiah Briscoe wins BallIsLife.com contest, declares himself best three-point shooter in country

By

LONG BEACH, Calif. — Isaiah Briscoe has never lacked confidence.

Briscoe, the Kentucky signee from Roselle (N.J.) Catholic, was on fire in the first round of the three-point shooting contest at the BallIsLife.com All-American Game on Saturday.

After posting the best score through three racks, he didn’t deem it necessary to finish the remaining racks.

Briscoe was challenged by two big guys as fellow Kentucky signee Skal Labissiere scored nine in the first round and Thon Maker scored 10, including eight in a row at one point.

Maker advanced to the final against Briscoe, who had cooled down after his first-round performance, but beat Maker by a single basket.

“I’m the best three-point shooter in the country,” Briscoe declared afterward.
