INDIANAPOLIS – No.4 Jeffersonville advanced to the IHSAA state team tournament semifinal with a 3-2 victory over No.20 Culver on Friday afternoon.

The Red Devils (22-0) will meet No.2 North Central on Saturday at 10 a.m. at North Central.

Jeffersonville swept the doubles en route to its victory in the quarterfinals. Sam Coward and Jackson Reilly stopped Culver’s Brian Tao and William Bilicic 6-4, 6-2 at No.1, while Keith Asplund and Blake Winchell conquered Evan Dillon and Ean Anderson 6-2, 6-3 at No.2.

Jeffersonville’s Bradley Cross added a win at No.3 singles as he swept past Josh Thompkins 6-2, 6-0.

North Central (19-0) edged No.1 Carmel 3-2 to earn its way to the semifinal.

The winner will face either Park Tudor (17-4) or Leo (24-2) in the state championship match at 2 p.m.
