Joe Jurina bowled a 654 series as the John Jay High School boys bowling team swept Beacon 7-0 Thursday in Dutchess Putnam Interscholastic Bowling League play at Fishkill Bowl.
Brandon Gertel led Beacon with a 630 series
Jurina highlighted the Patriots late Wednesday when he rolled a 697 series in John Jay’s 5-2 win over Ketcham.
Roy C. Ketcham 7, Mahopac 0 – Eric Bentsen rolled a 629 series, including a 235 in the first game. Bentsen bowled a 630 late Wednesday in a loss to John Jay.
Arlington 7, Carmel 0 – Aaron Scribner bowled a 682 with a 258 in the first game.
Sean Hogan (596), Gerald Swartz (593) and David Rich (592) also contributed for Arlington.
Late Wednesday, Arlington swept Mahopac 7-0 behind a 673 series from Scribner.
Allisyn Bundy helped lead Arlington to a 7-0 win over Carmel, rolling a 594 series with a 205 in the third game.
Aushia McLean had a 557 series and Alicia Assalone a 550 series for Arlington.
Assalone bowled a 630 series late Wednesday to lead Arlington over Mahopac, 7-0.
Roy C. Ketcham 7, Mahopac 0– Raylene Williams rolled a 525 for the Indians. She rolled a 556 in Ketcham’s 7-0 loss to John Jay Wednesday.
John Jay 5, Beacon 2 – Jillian Burns led the Patriots with a 561, coming off a 587 series in the Patriots’ 7-0 win over Ketcham.
Other contributors for John Jay were Alyssa Rubeo (560), Dana Winant (538) and Julia Dahl (521).
The Bulldogs were led by Brianna Virtuoso, who rolled a 526 series, and Jenna Maffei, who had a 525. Virtuoso bowled a 509 in Beacon’s 7-0 loss to Carmel Wednesday.
