Christ School junior Drew Johnson is the latest winner of the Mission Health Spotlight Performance of the Week football award.

Johnson passed for a career-high 387 yards and five touchdowns in Friday’s 46-34 home win over Concord First Assembly. He now has 1,467 yards for the season, his first with the Greenies (5-2).

Video of the presentation to Johnson can be found at this link.

Honorable mention for this week’s award goes to David Schill (Asheville School), Tanner Pettit (Brevard), Jared Letman-Gash and Kokayi Cobb (Christ School), Trevor Craft (North Henderson) and Shack Rospell (West Henderson) who were also nominated by Citizen-Times readers.

Nominations for the Mission Health Spotlight Performance of the Week award are accepted each Monday through noon, either through e-mail (apearson@citizen-times.com) or here on the High School Huddle by leaving a comment.

To ensure fairness, only nominated players will be considered by the Citizen-Times, but the number of e-mails or comments received will not necessarily determine the winner.
