KUSA — JoJo Domann, safety/wide receiver for the Pine Creek Eagles, joins a handful of players from Colorado that have committed to the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers. Earlier today Domann tweeted:

He told 9NEWS, “Nebraska was everything I was looking for. They have the football talent, an unbelievable facility, and overall great coaches and people.” He also said that the school has a strong fan-base. “They really put everything behind their football program and they’re dying for success,” Domann said.

Domann has won two state championships with the Eagles and contributed 49 receptions, 797 receiving yards and 205 rushing yards in his junior season on offense.

The 6-foot-1, 210 pound senior will play an important role as yet again one of the lead receivers for the Eagles. Domann, Avery Anderson (another Nebraska commit) and Jared Savage were the three leading receivers on last years championship team. Domann earned more yards than Savage’s and Anderson’s yards combined as receivers.

Both Savage and Anderson have graduated and Domann will most likely be another go-to receiver for the Eagles quarterback in the coming year.

Domann was however recruited as a defensive athlete. Last season he had seven interceptions and 61 total tackles as a safety. He also made 59 of 60 PAT attempts and seven of eight field goal attempts in the 2014-15 season.

Nebraska has recruited a handful of Colorado players including former teammate Avery Anderson. “Avery is one of my best friends and it helps make things easier with him there,” Domann said. “He helped give me the inside scoop and how the system works but the choice was for me.”

JoJo still has his senior season with the Eagles and a lot of things to look forward to in his senior season. “I look forward to playing with my brother my last year, winning a third state championship and playing for these coaches another year,” Domann said. He went to Pine Creek for football, he said, and it was a great decision.
