Kharysma Bryant, a senior guard on the Bishop Kearney girls basketball team, is a nominee to play in the 2015 McDonald’s High School All-American game.
Bryant is one of six candidates from New York State who could be added to one of the rosters. A pair of 12-player boys and 12-player girls teams meet in the 38th annual game, April 1 at the United Center in Chicago.
Bishop Kearney, a private school and Class A team in Irondequoit, is 10-3. Bryant, listed at 5-foot-9, leads the team with 21.2 points per game. She signed a letter of intent with Division I Niagara University last month.
