James Harrison has caused a ruckus on social media in the sporting world after his controversial stance on his sons’ participation trophies.
Kurt Warner, Harrison’s opponent in Super Bowl XLIII and longtime NFL quarterback, agrees. The former Super Bowl champion and MVP went to Twitter to express his thoughts.
Warner went on to debate with followers, arguing that kids shouldn’t be given trophies for simply trying and effort should be expected, not rewarded. Warner is currently serving as the offensive coordinator at Desert Mountain High in Arizona, where his son Kade is a linebacker and tight end.
