La Salle senior punter Drue Chrisman committed to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl this weekend.
Chrisman, who is verbally committed to Ohio State, is the second area player to commit to the all-star game, which will be played Jan. 9, 2016 in San Antonio and televised live on NBC.
“It is a great honor that I can play for our country and troops,” Chrisman told Cincinnati.com in a text message.
Elder senior offensive lineman Tommy Kraemer (Notre Dame commit) also committed to the 2016 bowl game in July 2014.
Chrisman verbally committed to the Buckeyes on May 6. An Enquirer Division II first-team selection last season, he was second-team all-state, first-team all-district and first-team all-GCL South for the state champion Lancers (14-1).
