The Mountain Home Lady Bombers saw their season come to an end with a three-set loss to the host Greenwood Lady Bulldogs on Thursday night in the semifinals of the Class 6A State volleyball tournament at Greenwood.

Greenwood took a 25-14, 25-18, 25-15 victory over the Lady Bombers, who finish their season at 21-10.

The Lady Bulldogs will face Marion — a winner over Russellville in the other semifinal — at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hot Springs for the championship.

Mountain Home’s McKenzie Brannon made 19 digs on defense, while fellow senior Cassie Martin made 18 assists and Katie Wehmeyer added 10 digs, four kills and two blocks. Kennedy Weiand made five kills for the Lady Bombers, while Maly Tabor added six kills and served three aces, and Ashley Pyeatt totaled four blocks and three kills.
