The Mountain Home Lady Bombers placed fifth and the Bombers were sixth at the Zizzer Relays held Thursday night at West Plains, Mo.
The host Lady Zizzers won the meet with 167 points, while Waynesville, Mo., was second with 157. Mountain Home had 49 points.
The Zizzers cruised to 202 points to win the boys’ meet as well, while Waynesville was second with 134 and Mountain Grove third with 70. Mountain Home racked up 45 points.
Taylor Collins was 18th in the 200-meter dash and 27th in the 100 (both personal-best times) for the Lady Bombers, while Chloe Freeland was 14th in the 400.
Brianna Trevino placed third in the 800-meter run, while Dallas Edwards was 20th. Kaci Sowa, Abbi Plumlee and Haley Hunter were 16th, 23rd and 24th, respectively, in the 1600. Rebecca McGough and Mackenzie Mohler each posted season bests in the 3200, finishing fourth and 10th, respectively.
Mountain Home’s Becca Collins was 12th in the 100-meter hurdles and 13th in the 300 hurdles. The Lady Bombers’ 4×400 relay team placed fifth in a season-best time.
The 4×800 relay team won first place in a time of 14:21.62. The team consisted of Freeland, Mohler, McGough and Trevino.
Trevino and Ashley Pyeatt placed seventh and 10th, respectively, in the high jump, while Stumon placed second with a season-best 8-02 in the pole vault. Pyeatt and Freeland placed ninth and 10th in the triple jump.
Whitney Settlemire palced third in the shot put, while Desiree Mitchell was 12th and Miracle Leagans were 12th and 27th, respectively. Settlemire, Mitchell and Pyeatt were third, seventh and 19th, respectively, in the discus.
For the Bombers, Josh Newton and Trent Ashworth each had personal bests and placed 12th and 20th in the 100-meter dash. Ashworth also was 27th in the 200.
Jimmy McDaniel and Glen Sailor were 23rd and 28th, respectively, in the 400, while Hunt Nosari was fifth and Ben Eggensperger 27th in the 800.
Bryston Hickman and Reece Hickman placed 12th and 16th, respectively, in the 1600, while Lane Alexander and David Byrd were third and ninth, respectively, in the 3200 run. Newton placed sixth in the 300 hurdles.
Mountain Home’s 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams each placed sixth. McDaniel placed ninth in the pole vault, while Eggensperger was 17th in the long jump and Newton and Eggensperger were 18th and 19th, respectively, in the triple jump.
Darrell Ashworth won first place in the shot put with a throw of 45-03, a personal record. Torbias Lambert placed 12th and Caleb Kruse 16th in the shot put. Ashworth finished third in the discus, while Lambert and Matt Fox were 23rd and 26th, respectively.
