Morgan Andrews threw a one-hit shutout as Bellevue’s softball team run-ruled Sandusky in the Northern Ohio League Tuesday.

Andrews pitched all five innings striking out six batters.

Carly Santoro collected three hits including a double. Sophia Pressler, Abby Yates, Hannah Ruffing, Jena Weider and McKenzie McMurray all had two hits apiece for Bellevue (7-1, 2-0).

“[Madison Hayberger] is one of the best pitchers in our league,” Bellevue coach Walt Snyder said concerning Sandusky’s starting pitcher. “We hit the ball well. We attacked the ball well and made good adjustments at the plate.”
