The Iowa Mennonite School boys’ basketball team rolled by Wapello 67-55 Tuesday night in Kalona.

Drake Brezina helped lead IMS with 22 points and nine rebounds. Eli Gingerich added 17 points, 11 assists, five rebounds and five steals. Finny Lackender scored 10 points.

IMS is 1-0.

WILTON 68, WEST BRANCH 66 (OT): West Branch fell in overtime to Wilton in Wilton. West Branch trailed 33-25 at halftime, but stormed back until both teams were tied 59-59 at the end of regulation.

Beau Cornwell and Cooper Kabela each led the Bears in scoring with 21 points. Alex Hamer posted eight points and six rebounds. Cooper Koenig contributed seven points and five assists.

HIGHLAND 55, CARDINAL 47: Highland crushed Cardinal for a season-opening win in Riverside.

Tereze Lanfair helped lead the Huskies with 15 points. Bill Burton posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Trent Lasek added nine points, seven assists and five steals.

Highland is 1-0.

Girls

CLEAR CREEK AMANA 36, BECKMAN CATHOLIC 29: Two players scored in double figures as Clear Creek Amana defeated Beckman Catholic in Tiffin.

Abbi Kinnaird paced the Clippers with 18 points. Erin Navara had 11 points.

Clear Creek Amana is 2-0.

HIGHLAND 79, CARDINAL 45: Highland cruised past Cardinal in Riverside.

Cheyann Adamson helped lead the way for the Huskies, nearly recording a triple-double. Adamson posted 25 points, 17 rebounds, seven assists and five steals.

Kelsey Hora also nearly garnered a triple-double with 21 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. Briana Davis added 21 points and seven rebounds. Aly Stokes had eight points and 12 rebounds.

Highland is 2-0.
