Asheville High senior Pete Leota doesn’t have anything elaborate in mind right now.
Just a simple tweet.
Western North Carolina’s most highly-recruited football player from the Class of 2016 is expected to choose between either South Carolina or Virginia Tech on Thursday.
Leota said he will probably fire up his Twitter account to inform the rest of the world what he has decided.
“Thursday is the day,” Leota said.
“It’s going to be a lot of stress off my back.”
Leota attended Saturday’s Kentucky-South Carolina game (a 26-22 Gamecocks’ loss in Columbia, S.C.) and the 6-foot-5, 305-pound lineman was last in Blacksburg, Va., on Sept. 7 for the Hokies’ 42-24 defeat at the hands of defending national champion Ohio State.
Leota and the Cougars do not have a game this week. They are 4-0 after Friday’s 40-6 blowout of the visiting Q. Foundation.
