Second Redistricting Plan

Below is the portion of the second redistricting proposal released Thursday by the LHSAA that involves Acadiana area schools. A second meeting of the executive committee will be held Wednesday. The third and final meeting will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18. As of now, Acadiana area districts would look like this:

District 3-5A – Acadiana, Barbe, Comeaux, Sam Houston, Lafayette High, New Iberia, Sulphur.

District 3-4A – Crowley, DeRidder, LaGrange, Leesville, Rayne, Washington-Marion.

District 4-4A – Beau Chene, Carencro, Northside, Opelousas, St. Thomas More, Teurlings Catholic.

District 5-4A – Abbeville, Breaux Bridge, Cecilia, St. Martinville, Westgate.

District 4-3A – Iota, Iowa, Jennings, South Beauregard, St. Louis, Westlake.

District 5-3A – Church Point, Eunice, Northwest, Pine Prairie, Port Barre, Ville Platte.

District 8-3A – Berwick, Erath, Franklin, Kaplan, North Vermilion, Patterson.

District 5-2A – Catholic-NI, Delcambre, Jeanerette, Loreauville, Notre Dame, Opelousas Catholic, Sacred Heart-VP, West St. Mary, David Thibodaux (non-football), Sacred Heart-GC (girls).

District 5-1A – Basile, Catholic-PC, False River, North Central, St. Edmund, Westminster.

District 7-1A – Ascension Episcopal, Centerville, Central Catholic-MC, Gueydan, Hanson, Highland Baptist, Lafayette Christian, Vermilion Catholic.

District 7-B – Bell City, ESA, Hathaway, Lacassine, Midland.

District 7-C – Hackberry, Johnson Bayou, Northside Christian, Singer, Starks.
