The Lincoln High School football team presented a donation for $5,845 to Jim Campbell and Mike Thompson, co-founders of the Never Forgotten Honor Flight, during its banquet Wednesday. Campbell and Thompson told the team the donation would send about 11 veterans on the trip to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials created to honor World War II, Korean and Vietnam veterans. The team sold “Raider Salute” T-shirts to raise funds for the Honor Flight, and donations also were accepted at its Oct. 16 game. During that game the American Legion Riders also presented the Colors.
